I wrote my daughter’s song when she was about two weeks old. My son, who I love every bit as much as my daughter, will be 17 on February 26, 2018. I have yet to write his song and he reminds me of that on occasion and sometimes teases me that Jordan (my daughter) is my favorite since I wrote her song when she was a baby. Truth is, I don’t have a favorite – I love them both with all my heart and while they are both different, I see me in both of them.
I came up with an idea yesterday for Jantzen’s song (my goal is to have it written by Christmas): A Little Bit of Me In You. I kind of thing the title sounds a bit like a country song but that’s not my intent. I like country but my favorite is guitar-oriented classic rock. I’ve come up with a few ideas musically for the song but I need to hash out some lyrics and try to mesh the music and the lyrics together. I’ll be back with more after I’ve made some progress.
